Always maintain airflow underneath the Laptop or Notebook.

The vents underneath every laptop are either for drawing cool air in or blowing

warm air out. As they are usually for drawing cool air in, you should always

ensure that there is sufficient airflow underneath the machine.

Most Laptop Computers and Notebooks have their 25 digit Windows licence

key on a Genuine Microsoft sticker on the underside. Always ensure that the

sticker is maintained in good condition. Note: if you sell the computer with the

licence sticker, you sell the licence as well.

Run Disk Defragmenter at least monthly. It will help to maintain your drive

integrity as well as improving performance. To run defrag, click the start

button, then All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Defragmenter.

Once open, select 'c:\' then click 'Defragment'.
